All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I find some free coding to create a new type of activity and then find some suitable content. Any content can be adapted to any activity. All I need is feedback and requests.

problem solving [slider puzzle 1-8] [the solution]

The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2024/02/problem-solving-slider-puzzle-1-8.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com I have eventually found a set of instructions on how to solve a slider puzzle 1-8. By following these instructions even larger puzzles can be solved. The solution is a simple one once a certain set of numbers are in their correct places. It is all about the rotation of a smaller and smaller set of numbers. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH. They are created as TEMPLATES for you to adapt and add your own content. The screenshots can be downloaded simply as worksheets. The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. Contact me at : learnanytime@gmail.com

The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2023/10/then-and-now-comparing-two-pictures-1.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com This is a follow up to the SPOT THE DIFFERENCE activities using the same coding where two pictures on top of each other can be revealed by the simple drag of a button. I found a series of pictures showing the same scene at different dates. Some of these could be of historical interest. This coding has much more to offer. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH. If the concept works PLEASE let me know and I will add other TEMPLATES I have created. The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2023/09/spot-difference-comparing-two-pictures-5.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com I came across a piece of coding which allows you to input two pictures. A blue button appears in the centre of the pictures which you can move to the left [allowing you to see the complete top picture] or to the right [allowing you to see the complete bottom picture]. What it does do is allow you to compare two pictures quickly. My first thought were a set of “spot the difference” pictures I had and have used before but secondly was a set of “then and now pictures” I found and I will add these later. I have created 3 differentiated versions, [a] is simply a series of generic topic labels, version [b] adds the dimension of specific alphabetic starting letters and version [c] is similar but with perhaps more difficult starting letters. Both sets of letters and topic labels can be easily changed. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog.
